Being Vulnerable Can Be #@%#&! Scary!

And That's OK.

Healing and change comes from a place of authenticity. Authenticity allows us to live in alignment. When we aren't being authentic, we are sending the wrong message. We aren't able to go deep because we are protecting ourselves from negative feedback and criticism.

I’ll encourage you to be REAL, while empowering you to be FREE. Like you've finally broken the mold, and truly connected with WHO YOU ARE.

It is all a journey and my role is to assist those who are having trouble with the navigation.  I am at my best when I am helping people with overcoming obstacles, identifying their strengths and recommending how to strategically and passionately utilize them to their greatest potential.

“I have been to therapy before and although all helpful, there were many things I would not share because of personal trust issues.

With Norman I felt safe from day one, and was very surprised on how comfortable I felt being vulnerable in his space.”

Norman Levitan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Florida. He is experienced working with individuals, groups, couples and families. When working with an individual, couple or family, Norman assesses and addresses the entire family history, the sum of its parts, and not simply the individuals that comprise it. The distress or problem that originated may not solely be within an individual but a natural reaction to a family dynamic that creates the distress. By using Family Systems Theory, Norman helps his clients garner a deeper awareness of their personal conflicts, how to resolve them, and live a more fulfilling life without addictions.

Norman has a Bachelor’s from the University of Arizona and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. Norman also has experience working with adolescents, the LGBTQ+ community, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, sex and love addiction, and 12 Step Recovery as well as with depression and anxiety.

After graduate school Norman worked in conjunction with the City of West Hollywood, County of Los Angeles, and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence shedding light on the growing concern of same-sex domestic violence in the LGBTQ+ community, and received accommodations for his work.

“Working with Norman has allowed me to view things more positively and I have learned how to see that things are not as bad as they once seemed.”
